Grandpa's Memorial

Don't grieve for me,for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard him call;
I turned my back on it all.

I could not stay another day,
to laugh, to Love to work or play.
Tasks undone must stay that way;
I found a place at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh , a kiss;
Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you sunshine for tomrrow.
My life's been full, I've savored much;
good friends, good times,
A loved ones touch.

Perhaps my time seems all to brief,
don't lengthen it with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me.
God wanted me now, he set me free.

                                My Dear Grandpa,
Since you are the one who raised me it made you a "Grand" Father instead of the ordinary Grandfather. You had such a special way of showing me how to view the world and it's many faucets. You taught me so very much. I still call upon the wisdom you taught me daily within my present day life. I rememeber how much you liked to hunt and how you always thought of the "Buck" as the strong and wise one. That is how I shall remember you Grandpa "Strong and Wise" like the Buck. I will always cherish the memories of fishing, working in the garden, swimming,camping and snowmobiling with you, but will most cherish the Love and strength you gave to me. I know that you have suffered so greatly with your illness as well as what life unfolded for you. I'm deeply sadded by your leaving but do know you suffer no more. I shall forever be grateful to have had your love in my life.
   Forever you will be Loved ... and Forever now your in peace.
