Hello, I'm the proud Grandmother of 20 grandchildren. Each one is Grandma's special Angel. I love them all dearly! I'm a survivor of domestic violence and child abuse myself. I had hoped that it would never happen to one of my children or grandchildren. Unfortunately it has happened, to six of my beautiful grandchildren . To my devastation due to domestic violence and child abuse six of my little Angels are in a foster home.Their abuser still walks free! I lived in another state than they did. I didn't even know what had happened until I was notified by authorities. Due to many health problems I was unable to take them. This has added to the grief I already have for what has happened to them. Had I been living closer maybe I could have seen what was going on and helped it not to happen. I have built this web site and shared with the world what has happened in my family in hopes that it will bring a heightened awareness of how devastating abuse is to a family. On my site you will find information on helping to stop abuse. There are links to help if you are being abused and links to education on how you may help someone who is being abused. All to often society tends to turn a blind eye. excuses such as, It's not my business, It's not my son or daughter, kids or grandkids, or I don't have time to be bothered prevent some one from getting much needed help.Your involvement could be the matter of life or death or the health of someone's loved one. You are the eyes and ears of grandmothers like me who couldn't be there at the moment. You are possible the one who can help a defenseless child , battered women or man.
